The temple in you… ( haiku)

It’s up on a hill,

grandly, majestically,

rows of lanterns lit.

*****

Tien Ho is it’s name;

Imperial Empress Goddess,

popular tour site!

*****

Do you come often?

Me? Only festive seasons;

religiously poor!

****

Oh, it’s ok dear!

you are spiritually rich!

the temple’s in you!

******

I brought an overseas friend to see the Tein Ho ( Imperial Empress Goddess) temple in Kuala Lumpur. It was sight to behold; beautifully lit-up, like a jewel in the night atop a hill.

Quote:-

This is my simple religion. No need for temples. No need for complicated philosophy. Your own mind, your own heart is the temple. Your philosophy is simple kindness. – Dalai Lama XIV
