*****

The hall was full

of chatters and laughters.

“Shhh…shhh!”

” What.. what happens?”

*****

They watched the new mother

walked slowly up the stairs,

with index finger on her lip.

*****

Next, she ran up quickly!

She opened the bedroom door.

Her pint-sized darling newborn,

was screaming his lungs out!

****

Was it the high-pitched squeals

or her increased sensitivity to sound?

How many decibels

can a newborn’s cries hit?
