Urban kids saw fowls
Fascinating excitement!
‘Mum, chicken, chicken’!

They ran after them
sending furious wings flappings
in all directions

For kids who grow up in the cities and high-rise buildings, this is a sight to behold! Not at the birds, but the excited kids!

I remember a moment in the Philippines when I visited my grandmother’s home and she had a chicken coup. The kids loved from the city, including me, loved to chase them around. We also loved the fried chicken afterwards (with no offense intended to vegetarians!).

Wish humans can treat those poor birds better and let them roam freely rather than cooped up in a cage.

I feel so sorry for the fowls because they will eventually be eaten. They cannot even complain or say no.If they complain who is listening?.
And the eggs are source of protein boiled, or fried and be eaten with pancakes or breads.
Poor fowls, I don’t envy you.

    1. You are not a vegetarian, are you?
